Membership in JAHE is a prerequisite to participation in a JAHE small group focused on academics, athletics, band, graduation, etc. Membership is open to home schoolers who have read this policy and agree with the aims and expectations of the organization. The annual membership fee is $35.00, which helps cover the costs of various publications, seminars, and support group meetings. The membership year runs from June 1 - May 31. These costs include honorarium and travel expenses for speakers, facilities' fees, printing, phone expenses, and insurance for JAHE events and activities. Members also receive a discount to the Home School Legal Defense Association. (Please refer to Group #293210).
Members receive an annual update of contact, calendar, program, and resource information. Some programs are offered to members at no cost or reduced cost. Other programs are limited to members only. Generally speaking, the fee does not cover the cost of activities or events sponsored by a small group such as special classes for children or charges associated with field trips. JAHE may help subsidize small group activities which have a positive impact on the homeschool community or benefit a majority of JAHE member families.
A limited number of memberships are available to low income and single parent home school families at no charge. Contact the Board of Directors to apply for a scholarship.
Members are expected to volunteer sometime during the year to help with various activities and programs.

The 2018-2019 Membership form is a two-page Application Form and a one-page Purpose and Statement of Faith for you to keep. The form is available as:
