Annual Events

JAHE or one of its Support Groups provide several events throughout the year to assist home schooling families.

Field Day

In the early summer JAHE holds a track and field day at a local park. Children compete in several activities and everyone receives an award for their efforts. All in attendance are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a great time of running around and fellowship.

Presentation Night

In the spring of each year a presentation night is held to display the accomplishments of individual homeschooled chlidren. Children display their work in science, math, history, geography, art, Bible, and language arts. They also give presentations of music, recitation, and drama.

Used Curriculum Sale

Each year JAHE has facilitated a used curriculum sale whereby member families can buy materials they need for the future and offer for sale material they no longer need.

Fall Kick-Off

In the fall of each year JAHE has a kick-off picnic and potluck. The most recent kick-off picnic was held at a local camp ground which included a pot luck dinner, children's play activities, and a hay ride.
